Eating

I’m 21 (in March) and since my early teen years I’ve had problems with food. I think it may stem from my mum. As a child, she always talked about her body and how fat she was and blah blah blah. Keep in mind she’s never been big in her whole life. Anyway, since then I’ve had cycles of binging and binging followed by purging followed by not eating followed by binging and so on. I don’t know what to do about it. I’ve gained even more weight in the past few years. Last month I tried out this weight loss drug and honestly that whole month was amazing. I don’t know what it does but it stopped my binging and it was like I physically couldn’t overeat. I felt really good. But I can’t afford it on a regular basis so I’ve stopped taking it. Now these past few weeks have been awful. It’s like ten times worse than before and I can’t stop eating and eating and throwing up. I just wanted to complain.

You are welcome to come here to complain any time you want! A good vent can be really helpful.

It sounds like you have been battling with this a long time and I can imagine the frustration and disappointment when discovering something that works, but isn't going to be a long term solution.

Please keep looking. I'm sure that there is something out there that will help you long term. I can totally relate to how demoralising it can be to keep trying and searching, but I don't think there is any other option. And you deserve to find what works for you.
