Food guilt

I just need to vent, I'm going crazy. Earlier today I weighed myself and was incredibly upset/ triggered at the number I saw, my appetite and mental desire to eat has just gone through the floor...

I'm watching TV with my roommate and I thought that a bowl of cheezits would be really nice for a snack... Now I'm completely overthinking that desire and I'm just kind of lost, normally I wouldn't feel nearly this guilty for wanting a snack, but now I'm distressed that I want it...

Does anyone else struggle with food guilt like this, am I just going crazy?

@Romarie7

Thank you for being open and sharing with us how you are struggling.  It can be very difficult to give yourself permission to have snacks when you see a number on the scale that you don't like.

The challenge sometimes is recognizing that because our bodies are made up of a majority of water, we have fluctuations in the number on the scale from day to day even more than we might think.  So having a snack won't make the negative impact that sometimes we tell ourselves it will.  Balance is a great approach.

I know it can be frightening to see the number on the scale go up.  What do you find comforts you when you are feeling anxious or fearful over that change?
