How to stop over or under eating?
hai I just joined this forum, and I want to ask. How do you cope with over or under earing? I never just eat healthily, I either don't eat or eat to much, and whenever do them I feel so bad, when I eat food in general I feel like throwing up by how much I'm eating.
Dealing with the same problem here 🤚
what I usually do when I don't understand things is read, so my plan is to essentially learn a bit about food, how the body processes it, and the quantities it needs.
Maybe when I'm finally informed I can make a smart decision, you know? For now I'm trying to understand my triggers, since I'm really prone to binging :)
@rainmakerhere
Understanding your triggers and how your body processes food is a great idea.
What have you learned about yourself and your triggers?
What have you learned so far about how your body processes food for you in particular?

So great you posted. What tend to be the situations in which you find that you overeat? Have you noticed certain situations or emotions?
@KristenHR
sometimes its just random…like after i workout all i want to do sometimes is junk out…..adn then most of the time its when im bored or sad or angry
@bellsbum19
Yeah, those emotions make a lot of sense. And being different times and such, I get that. I know you're not a lone in this.
Anyone else feel this way? Anyone else experience this want to share too?
@greyskies8002
So glad you're here and have posted.
Over and under-eating can both be equally challenging in their own right. There is a bit of range when it comes to over and under eating that is normal. What isn't normal is when it gets to the point of it being where it is intentional and where we are feeling out of control and having difficulty with it.
Guilt is a challenge. Guilt usually tells us when we are doing something that is wrong, if it is in fact something truly wrong. With eating disorders, we may feel guilt about eating something when we really do need to eat something. So that would be a false guilt. So we do get to a place where we have to eat based on logic, not feelings, and based on a meal plan that is designed for us and our health, not on what we feel is right for us. What is a good meal plan for me, isn't necessarily a good meal plan for someone else, because we are all individuals, with unique bodies, health and activity issues.
You bring up a great topic and I hope more will join in.
