Intro
Hello everyone,
I'm new here. Not sure if this counts as an eating disorder but I'm struggling with emotional eating, binge eating, and secretive eating. I'm currently trying to lose weight and it feels hopeless

Im new too, I joined today. I think it absolutely counts. Your post really resonated with me because I do exactly the same as you and also feel hopeless but I keep trying and I bet you do too.
This last week I have started to identify some easy recipes, I do the body coach plan which worked for me once, 7 years ago. There is a lot of food and I'm trying to figure out the ones which leave me feeling full, satisfied to see if that can help. Often when I binge eat, I'm left feeling completely unsatisfied and keep looking for more to eat to try and feel satisfied but crap food always just leaves me feeling crap.
part of my problem is feeling like I don't have time to make good food but I need to make it a priority, stop sitting on the sofa and prep my meals. This week I made granola, satay prawn salad, protein yoghurt, it's progress, I'm feeling hopeful. Would this help you? Just set one or two meals, some snacks, I batch make a healthy granola for breakfast, nuts as a snack. Small steps. X

Welcome! Glad you're joining in and sharing.
@tootiefruity1 I’m so glad you’re here! This forum has been so helpful for me. I’m in the midst of trying to let my body be in control rather than controlling my body, which is TERRIFYING. I think that’s what eating disorders, no matter what type, are all about—a false sense of control. All I can say is, it’s good that you’re here and recognizing that you need support. We can’t do this alone. And, I need to hear this as much as you—be kind to yourself. Listen to your body. Know that you are loved and valued.
