@Echad

Hi!

Unfortunately that's exactly how eating disorders start.
We feel we can't control other aspects of our life, and we start controlling what we eat.

I can be here for you. We can support each other, or simply talk about something else that will distract you from these thoughts.

Would you like to share a little bit more about how you feel or what's worrying you?

I take responsibility for everything. I care about everyone too much. I want to save everyone. And I am loyal to a self damaging degree. I don’t want to get too detailed here. But I basically get so frustrated and hurt by people I force myself to go somewhere else. I’d rather feel physical pain than emotional pain.

@Echad

Hi Echad,

It seems to me you're a very good person, and that you want to help others and not make them feel the "weight" of you. It's like you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. Which is not something bad in its own, it's actually quite noble. The issue is when the weight becomes too much, we start suffering from it.

Do you have anyone in your family or close friends you can count on? Do you have someone with whom you can spend a little time, and in that moment you feel that weight being lifted from you? Or not?

I did kind of - but my friends stopped being there for me because I was “too negative” - which isn’t true. I’m quite optimistic! I just tend to get overwhelmed with emotions because I love people, even strangers deeply.

When these people do come around I get so attached I scare them off! Haha.

People just lack big time in emotional intelligence.

especially the friends I’ve made and lost.

@Echad

I hear you, and I can sense how much you care about people. It must be really tough to feel misunderstood by those you value so much. Your capacity to love deeply and your optimism are beautiful traits, even if they sometimes feel overwhelming.

It sounds like you're an incredibly empathetic person, and that can be both a gift and a challenge. It's understandable to feel attached to people who matter to you, but it can also be hard when they don't reciprocate in the way you hope.

I want you to know that it's okay to feel these emotions, and it's okay to want to connect deeply with others. Maybe finding a balance could help, like gradually opening up to people and seeing how they respond over time. That way, you can protect your heart while still building those meaningful connections you crave.

Your loyalty and caring nature are wonderful qualities, but it's also important to take care of yourself. You deserve to feel supported and understood too. Maybe we can explore some ways together to manage these feelings so they don’t become overwhelming?

Remember, I'm here for you, and I appreciate you sharing this with me. Let's figure this out together.
