Love and Failure
Maybe if I don't eat I'll love myself and maybe if I'm skinny maybe life will be easier
@fallskies
It sounds like you are seeking for a way to love yourself. That is really great. The challenge I'm hearing is figuring out how to love yourself. I'm really glad you posted about this. I think that a lot here probably struggle with the same thing. Anyone else reading this struggling with loving yourself?
What do you like about yourself? Does anything come to mind? If you can't think of anything, what have others said that they like about you?
Also, what might be other ways you could learn to love yourself besides related to how you look?

It is very
difficult to learn to love ourselves, especially if this kind of message hasn’t
reached us in the past from external sources (our loved ones) or if our self
esteem is very low.
Personally, at the moment I find myself in the same position as Fallskies,
unable to give an answer on what I love about myself. But I would like to give
a reply on “what might be other ways you could learn to love yourself besides
related to how you look”, in hopes this could be helpful for someone else who
might read this. Maybe focusing on personal achievements and things we’re passionate
about, could help. Taking up hobbies, setting small goals, and celebrating
those achievements might be a good starting point. What do you think? So we can
take the attention out of our bodies, and focus it to our action…

You are so correct, it is so very difficult to learn to love yourself for many reasons.
I love your ideas about the little things such as hobbies and setting small goals and looking at the achievements that we set. These things can make a big difference, in at least liking these things about ourselves, and slow to grow into loving ourselves. It's a big journey, but worth it.
Thanks for jumping in and sharing!
