Hey, this is my first time writing something on this app, I have a problem with eating after losing a significant amount of weight and still being unhappy at this point I started to binge eat since Christmas I gained like 14kg back, and I hate my body.  I buy food with the intention to eat it do it anyway and regret it later (I don’t swallow everything/spit some out) but doesn’t help gained weight anyway, I can’t stop, nobody sayd anything but this weight gain is visible and I feel so helpless that I gained the weight back after losing it. I feel constantly watched and judged and it also costs a lot of money as a student it’s taking a toll on me. Not to mention the time I spent buying it and eating it. Can someone help me give me tips re info of how to get out of it thank you I appreciate it.

@intellectualLake8604 When we've worked hard to reach a goal weight but then find ourselves still feeling dissatisfied with our appearance, we know that we're faced with the prospect of further caloric restriction. This triggers a very primal physiological response - that of eating compulsively. Bingeing is in fact the body's natural response to restriction/starvation. We then get into a binge/restrict loop. As you've said, you're a student and not in a financial position to subsidise buying excess groceries. Would it be more realistic to take a revised look at what your goal weight should actually be? Sometimes we have to ask ourselves what point we'll actually feel satisfied with our body and how much we're prepared to put it through, in the pursuit of an ever-shifting goalpost. I don't know if you're familiar with the work Glenn Livingston, and his Never Binge Again book?

Hey, thank you for your response, I dont really know about that person or his book in particular. I feel really bad about myself but not as bad as I did when I was at my worst for feeling like a failure or wanting to du because I ate slightly over my calorie budget before and never satisfied about my body, I want to go back to the thinnest I ever was (still healthy bmi) but I don’t hate my body now in general I just hate that being thin is the main goal for everyone and I get jealous of people who are thinner than myself (even kids) and wishing I was as small as them or weight as much, I know that sounds ridiculous but I still feel like that. As it is as my exams are also coming an I don’t have much time to study because of my binge eating habits I want to get out of that circle as much as possible. Thank you all for listening☺️
