Struggle

I’m recently in recovery but having the worst time trying to find a provider or program that will see me now that I am back at home. There’s a huge lack of resources where I am and I’m trying to advocate for myself but then I wonder why I am trying so hard when I have never cared about myself so why do I even deserve continued treatment but at the same time I’ve come a long way and don’t want to relapse again. I’m frustrated, angry and scared. Just needed to vent into the abyss.

Thank you for replying. It’s nice to even hear from someone in recovery cuz it seems like relapse is so much more common which can be discouraging.

@ace333

It's good that you don't want to relapse again.  It is so difficult when you can't find the support and resources you are needing.  Have you found any virtual resources to help?  Do you have any friends who are supportive where you are that you've been able to reach out to?

Thanks. I am currently trying to get into a virtual program but it’s been a whole thing with insurance and what not. I don’t have a ton of support people, but I do at least still have my outpatient therapist in this meantime.

@ace333

I'm glad to hear you are working on getting into the virtual program and that you have your outpatient therapist.  It's good to have at least those options of support.
