help??
hello, i’m angel. and i feel like i’ve been dealing with this problem ever since i was a kid. i’m going to make this short because the app decided to crash on me 😑 anyways, i’ve been wanting to eat healthy, but there’s nothing home. and since i live with my parents (i’m 16) i only eat what they give me. and everything i’ve eaten over the years has just been junk. i want to be skinny, i want to feel pretty, but i can’t if i just eat junk food. so i’ve been starving and/or eating less cuz how am i going to get better if i just eat junk food?? and if my parents aren’t going to help and just blame it on me then what’s the point?? idk,, i’m just lost and need help
Have you talked to them and asked them if they can buy healthier foods? Or maybe they could give you a food allowance so you can buy healthier food. Or get a side job to fund it?
I feel you. I wanna eat healthier too <3
@jesusredeemedme2425
i might get a job to fund it for right now since i seem to not leave my parents cycle of unhealthiness. i do hope to get accepted for the ones i applied for a few days ago cuz my body really needs this stuff </3
Why don’t they want you to eat healthy?
Hey angel. It can be really hard when the food we’re provided isn't the healthiest. You don’t have access to fruits and veggies? If not could you maybe try and talk to your parents about getting some? Please dont starve yourself, you can still eat some junk food and be healthy! but wanting to eat healthy is admirable and i think they should support you instead of blame you. Im sorry they’re doing that. Try to talk to them and say you want to eat healthy. It’s not worth starving yourself, not ever. Trust me. I went down that path as a teen and i still struggle with it at 22. Maybe start the conversation like this: “hey, i have been thinking about trying to eat healthier lately and I noticed we don’t have many healthy options. I think it would be better for my health and everyone in the house if we started buying healthier food like lean meats, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables.” Im not sure how your parents are so adjust that how you see fit for the best reaction possible.
If the junk food mean McDonald's, you actually can request for grill chicken burger, something like that, it is because if your chicken didn't fried, burger actually is a healthy food, beacause it contains balance carbohydrates, fibre and protein.
