I know this is wrong. But I'm skinny, but I want to be more skinny. I look in the mirror and I picture myself fat. So far I've been losing 2-3 pounds a week. But I want to lose more. I feel like throwing up all the time. And when Ieat, I feel like throwing up. I just feel sick and nauseous.
I'm15. Female. I currently am99.8pounds. Iknow this is wrong. I don't have an eating disorder, as far as I know. I took a looka medical thing, and it said I had some medical thing. I really want to know what it is. I'm adopted, so I don't know any medical history as far as genetics. Hopefully, if I find out what it is and what's happening to me, it's not a genetic thing. But if it is, all well...I guess
I'm 23 and funnily enough a trainee counsellor. I've suffered with bulimia for almost a year now... It started with trying to diet. And that led to binge eating... Which then progressed to purging (making myself sick) I would hide food and eat in secret and the guilt that comes after it is horrific. But during it you feel great. I constantly worry about being too fat even though people tell me I'm not, and it's like I'm trying to live up to the social aspect of being accepted or praised for how I look. I feel so down after binging that I wouldn't care if I died. It's a vicious cycle that occurs most when I try a new diet. Any advice welcome...
Hi BuliBear I'm 25 and also from the UK. I'm recovering from a very similar problem to you. This must be a really difficult thing to get grips with for you. The first step is acknowledging there is a problem. Well done for that! Have you spoken to anyone about this? For me, it helped to see a counsellor. She explored how this behaviour started and ways to combat a trigger etc. It also helped to have a fried I could confide in. Do you have a friend or family member you could talk to?
Hello Everyone,
I struggled with a brief stint with an eating disorder after experiencing a double-suicide in my life. For me, however, this was one hundred percent about control and had next to nothing to do with body image- for me personally. I would like to lend my experience and support to those in need on this topic. You are not alone!
HI.
I have struggled with my weight on and off my whole life. In middle school I started not eating, but some people caught on and then I started eating again. A year ago in college I started up again due to comments from others about my weight.
I just found out some very painful news about family members and am in a tail-spin. The only thing I want to focus on is my weight. I can work to change that, but I don't want to not eat. I get so crank and mean when I don't. But I feel better when I don't have a meal, or go to the gym for 3 hours.
I am so self-concious that I won't let my boyfriend see me naked, and if he does I get really angry. I don't want to be touched,.... I am so disgusting...
I have also lost tons of friends because of my self-beating thoughts. I accidently say them outloudwithout knowing and it has bugged every single one of them to the point of them essentailly "breaking up with me" among my depression....

Kyla, 21 years old. I don't even belong here, really... I've never been diagnosed. History of depression, eating disorders, alcoholism, drug abuse, and god knows what else in the family. BMI of around 17.4. I used to weigh myself daily, but nowonly when I feel like I've gained a significant amount of weight. I don't take laxatives as often as I used to, but sometimes I'll take them when I've eaten too much and feel far too full. Nutella is a safe food for me, which soundscrazy but whatever. Losing weight with nutella is the reason that I no longer believe in calorie restriction.
The main reason that I feel like I don't have an eating disorder is because I feel happy at a BMI of around 17and don't want to go much lower. I was once at a BMI of 16.8 and wasn't happy with myself, so I purposefully gained weight to get back to a BMI of 17.
Sorry if I'm an insult to anyone posting here who has beendiagnosed andseriously has a problem... I just don't really know where I fit in with my eating habits is all.
I am 18 yearsof age and have struggled with eating disorders since I was 15. I have starved, I have binged and purged. Basically, if there is something to do with eating disorders I have tried it. I am easily triggered and have gone at most one month without becoming destructively focused on my weight. I am a dancer, I like to read and write. I have OSFED. Nice to meet everyone!
Hi everyone, I worked in treatment center for eating disorders for any years. I glad to be part of the community. If you guys need to talk, I am here. Please do not be shy.
