Somewhat Recovery
I was never officially diagnosed with an eating disorder because i never told anyone but i have had definate problems in the past. For months i lived off [edited by Anomalia for calorie specifics/triggers] per day. It got so bad that i would throw up whenever i felt like i had eaten too much. People never really noticed because i didn't lose that much weight, i stayed larger throughout my disordered eating. I recently have been starting to recover, it's my freshman year of high school and i'm finally starting to get better, but my eating is still far from normal. I am still unable to eat breakfast, even though i know it's bad for you. I'm making progress with lunch, being able to have some nuts so i can focus in my afternoon classes. I am now able to eat after school, but every time i do i feel very guilty and sick. Very few of my friends have actually seen me eat, and if they do it is in very small amounts. I'm extremely secretive about my eating, i don't even like eating in front of my family. I sneak food, even though i know it's okay to eat it, i'm just ashamed of the fact that i'm eating at all. So yeah, thanks for listening, if you have any advice i'd love to hear it. :)
@relapsingtime - It's been over a year since you posted about being early into recovery - how has your recovery journey been since then?
