Just need to vent. My sister, her boyfriend and his son lives with me. My sister and I watched his son over the weekend but his son did not behave all weekend. He refused to leave the house for school Friday. He was back talking bad all weekend. Throwing small fits and won't eat dinner Sunday. As punishment for behavior this weekend we all talked and decided he would not go see grandma thus week. He goes to her house Mondays and stays till Wednesday. Today my sister boyfriend took his son to his grandmas anyways. And said well he wrote u an apology. Like everything is fine. But it's not the kid got no realy punishment. His dad just about showed him that his actions for this weekend were no big deal he can do it again and have no realy consequences. He dose that all the time. It's so annoying. My sister is getting fed up with this situation. The kid acts up all the time and gets away with it. He is spoiled. I feel like her boyfriend is walking all over my sister because she can't say to much it's not her kid. It's not my problem do deal with the kid but when we live in the same house and he acts like he's 3 when he's 9. It makes me stressed out. He cry bloody murder early in the morning to late at night. He dosnt listen when told to do something. And his dad just dosnt care.

It sounds like it is very frustrating to live with a child for whom there are no consequences for his bad behavior. It sounds like everyone in your household has expressed the same feelings of frustration but the child's father disregards your feelings and refuses to follow through with discipline. Is he agreeing with the family as you all discuss things but chooses not to uphold your households agreements when it comes time to enforce the rules? Has your sister set boundaries with her boyfriend with regards to what you all feel would be acceptable to keep your household peaceful? Is she enforcing her boundaries? Are the household rules clearly defined when it comes to what you all consider acceptable behavior? Have you all discussed consequences to the boyfriend if he chooses to disregard the household's rules of acceptable behavior?

I'm horrible at setting boundaries with my own family, so I'm no help here, but I want to say that I feel for you. You're trying your best to help, and it sounds like a chaotic situation.
