Current or soon-to-be parent advice
Hi all!
I'm hoping some of you current parents or soon-to-be parents out there might have some advice you'd be willing to share. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost a year, and it's starting to get to me. I was doing okay until my best friend got pregnant after only a month of trying while I had been trying for over 6 months at that point. I was crushed. While I'm happy for her, it breaks my heart watching them go through this experience that I so badly want to share with my husband and our families. I was in a pretty dark place for a while after that, but have slowly been finding ways to manage my emotions better.
We decided if things don't work out this cycle that we will make an appointment with my doctor to rule out any underlying conditions, and have even considered alternative treatments such as acupuncture. In the meantime, though, I guess it's just hard to patient.
If anyone has been in this position before or has any advice, I'm all ears! I'm also a pretty high-strung person, so if your advice is that I need to chill out a bit and be patient, I'm totally open to that and a little bit of gentle tough love, haha. Thanks in advance!

I can understand why you would be upset that your friend got pregnant and you have been trying for a lot longer. I think it's important to remember that there is nothing wrong with you and that every couple is different!! 💕 There's a great organization called Postpartum Support International and they have so many great resources!
