Nostalgic of the friends I had as a Content Creator
I used to be a Vtuber, basically a moving anime character who streams just chatting or games. Idk what's up with me today, but I saw a picture of my OC that I used when I used to stream before and I got nostalgic. I know it's probably a bad idea to check up on everyone cause I'll end up getting nostalgic and wanting to talk to everyone again, but I already moved on from the vutuber community.
It's nice checking up on everyone, seeing lots of them grow and reach farther lengths as a content creator and others that ended up going on haitus as a vtuber like I did. I have the yearning of reaching out, but I can't. I feel like I left a part of me there and every like half year I always end up checking how everyone is doing.
I miss everyone, cause those are the peeps I feel I could vibe with, relate to, and where I met my best friend too. I guess in a sense it's where I felt I belonged and felt like it was my home. A good amount of my friends came from those community. But I had to leave due to some experiences that happened there and also my life was getting busier and busier so I couldn't stream as often as before, so my content started going downhill more and more.
Idk if it's just me, but is it weird I have these random phases in life where I want to revisit communities that I have went back for a long time, like how I revisisted Vtubing for me.
Still contemplating why I keep revisiting the community even though I said I'm finished with my life as a Vtuber.
I don't know, just wanted to post this, cause thought maybe some other peeps might have the same feeling and know why they do this too =w=;;
@rinniechan I think this is very common! I can think of a few examples in my online life, like message boards that once took up my every waking hour and now I check in with every year or so; or fandoms I used to care a lot about but the passion has waned.
I even have it with some irl friends, when I think back on the people I spent years socializing with and I never see them now. I will sometimes look people up to see how they are doing, but I feel like I'll never really be a part of that group again. It's natural to be nostalgic, though; part of being human.
