Advice sos
Hey, this is my first time making a post so ignore if I sound odd lol.
I'm 17 yrs old f. I hate how alone I've been in my senior year of highschool, everything so dull and I can't do any of the big friend group trend all my classmates are doing because my 'friend' group is full of fake people who ignore me and talk crap. I'm sick of being disrespected and mistreated so I want to make friends that make me forget what the term mistreatment means, I want to stop having trust issues because of my past BFFs and current friends. I want to change for the better for myself and for whoever will enter my life. I have an issue of others not wanting to try and get close to me due it my initial personality because I'm guarding myself (considering past issues). I have one bff that I trust and love but my other friends I legit just lost in the past two years and they completely destroyed my trust and my current friends stepped over my boundaries so much that I've become surrounded by these walls to protect myself from anyone, even my bff or family who try to help. I'm trying to put these walls down by reaching out to others and befriending them so I guess this is my attempt at that.
I could say so much more but I'd rather not yap so much 😭. If anyone has advice at trusting others more and also cutting off my whole friend group without causing stupid drama, I'd appreciate it.

From what you are saying, you are going into adulthood and on a journey of self exploration. It sounds like you already know what you want in the way of friends. You have a set expectation for who want for your friends. I think that it is good to be cautious with the people that you let into your life. You have to be able to look out for yourself in your journey. Also, you want people in your life who will have your best interest at heart. I am wondering, how are the other aspects of school? Are you enjoying that part of your journey? Are you involved in any clubs or groups?

I can't be involved in anything at school because there's no activities or clubs, every single person in my class is from a specific country and I don't speak their language so it's hard to talk to them even though we all know English and take our studies in English. (we aren't in a country that speaks their language either) so it's hard when I have no opportunity

I hear what you are saying, you have one challenge after another. I am curious, have you been to any of the chat rooms here? There is a big group of teens here. You deserve to have friends in your life who care about you. Perhaps your next friends will be here at Cups.
Ah yes sure! Just a message away
