@SavedSinner

Hey there. Firstly, congratulations on graduating! 🥳

You’re definitely not alone in wondering this. A lot of people your age are still figuring friendships out too. Friends can come from shared spaces like hobbies, classes, volunteering, work or online communities. We have member chatrooms here on 7 Cups too if that's something you're open to exploring.

Normal can be a total range- from talking about your favourite food to the next space mission.

How do I do that between work and home life?

@SavedSinner

It can be hard, so start small. Even one chat at work, hanging out with colleagues, running a marathon, participating in a workshop once a week/month e.g. pottery, or keeping in touch online through texting can be enough to build from. These offer a greater chance at socialising.

Due to being homeschooled and therefore not having sports I'm a bit too well-rounded for a marathon and my father is displeased with the idea of me going to a gym to fix that. Frankly I spend most of my free time at home with a bunch of projects he puts on my to do list or tells me I'm doing on a particular day

@SavedSinner

You’re handling a lot already and wanting some balance doesn’t make you unreasonable. I hope you’ll get a chance to carve out even a small bit of time for yourself, on your own terms soon.

Wouldn't it be selfish for me to do that?

@SavedSinner

I don't think it's selfish to care for yourself, or to want to do something on your own. What makes it sound selfish to you?
