Loneliness is a common problem and it can have serious consequences. Many struggle with feelings of Loneliness, it can have an impact on a persons physical /mental health and  even their lifespan.

We all need meaningful relationships in our life's ,so when we feel isolated or disconnected from others, its natural to feel a quiet ache inside, That ache or uncomfortable feeling is Loneliness. It is not a flaw or sickness but a signal. It tells us that our relationship with others have fallen short of what we want or need.

Loneliness is an unpleasant and painful feeling, it may persist and we may feel lonely even when we are surrounded by people. We all feel lonely at times, it may come and go but can also linger , bringing feelings of deep emptiness and dejection. It can leave you feeling bored, angry, depressed, insecure, rejected or unloved.

So are you Alone ? When we are alone, we find it easy to relax, think and work on something without distractions. Alone or quiet time can be refreshing and enjoyable, that's why we have it on those days.

So are you Lonely? If this describes *** you feel, please know that many people are going through it too, and you are not alone.

So What can you do to deal with feelings of Loneliness?  If you understand why you feel that way, you may find it a little easier to identify how to deal with that feeling!🤗🌻

Just a thought from a book i read and hopeful that  it might help here!

@AsherTree,

sorry to hear you feel that way, but you need to  identify if you are alone or lonely. if you do that it will be easier to work on it.

I found Cups due to loneliness, self imposed isolation as I didn't want my health issues to be a burden to others. Cups helped but isn't a solution but has helped me be more proactive to try and resolve it.

@RunningMachine,

yes on 7 cups you will get a temporary relief but you first need to know if you are alone or lonely. Have you done that yet? try to work on it .there will be a sequel to this write up that will have few suggestions that may help. just know that you are not alone and we are here for you to support you the best we can!

@SolaceBruno

It's definitely loneliness, marriage break down followed by a period of caring for elderly parents and withdrawal from meaningful connections due to health issues.

It isn't easy making new connections at my age but I'm trying different things so hopefully will in time

@RunningMachine,

Loneliness can be described as emotional hunger. it tells you that you need to connect emotionally with others. But we are sometimes afraid or unsure whether they want to connect with you. Try taking the initiative to focus on others, look for opportunities to help, serve or support others in need. it can help you overcome loneliness.

@SolaceBruno

Thank you, my social connections have improved over the year but I feel always room for much improvement 🤪🤪
