How to recover from bad history of friendships?

I’ve friends, but I’m not intimate with them. I try to keep my personal stuff private, so it feels like I’m treating them like coworkers. I’ve had so much experience in having bad friends and being one also.

Anyways, thank you for reading this. Means a lot

I get why you keep things private 💙

Not everyone is deserving to know it.

I like to keep things separate.

This doesn't make you a bad friend.

Being a good friend is putting in effort.

Being kind.

Being respectful.

Being you.

And you deserved it back 🩷

There is nothing wrong with wanting to keep some things private.

A good friendship isn't just about sharing, but also about love, support, help and understanding. A good friend will understand you if you don't feel comfortable sharing something personal.

However, are you sure that keeping so much to yourself makes you happy? Is it really a decision, or trust issues because of bad past experiences with friends?
