Letting Go

One thing I'm struggling with right now is letting go of relationships that are harmful to my happiness and mental health. I think it just hurts more to let all of the memories that you've built go to waste. I just can't let someone that used to be such an important person in my life walk past me like a complete stranger. It tears me up inside. I don't know what to do and how to get over this. I'm really struggling with this right now and need a little advice. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could share some words of wisdom or even just their own experiences with this.

I understand how difficult it is to watch someone who was once so important to you become a stranger. It's natural to feel torn up inside and to hold onto the memories you built together. But here's the thing, sometimes holding onto toxic relationships can do more damage than good. Prioritizing your happiness and mental health is important, even if it means letting go of someone who was once significant in your life. It doesn't mean those memories were a waste; they were a part of your journey and helped shape you into the incredible person you are today. It takes time, and it's okay to grieve the loss of this relationship.
