Looking for new friends after being stepped on for years on end
Hi everyone:) I'm 24F and I'm pretty lonely. All my life, I've been a people pleaser and always there for my friends when they needed anything. But recently I woke up to something, and I realised that they are rarely there for me. They can almost never hang out. They always plan holiday trips with other friends and never me. There's always a distance between us, where I'm there for them, but they are never there for me. Like they never let me into their worlds. I realised that this isn't fair, and that I should respect myself more. so I give less, and I don’t plan on keep initiating things. I believe people in 7cups have had similar experiences, and are less self-centered that many outside of this app that aren't in tune with their mental well being. I'm looking for people to talk with, we can talk about anything. I'm genuine, spontanteous. I like movies, music, memes. I like talking about anything really as long as we vibe and we can show mutual respect and kindness. i'd love to meet you:)
As a previous people people pleaser sending hugs, it's going to be tough at first being alone. But it gets better after sometime.
@aloofavocado HI whenever u want to talk just contact me
Hello there !!! 🤗
Hello there !!! 🤗
I will be your friend
Hi! My name is Matthew. I'll be honest with you, I'm merely 19M, but I relate so much. For 2 years, I used to be really kind to many people. I complimented them, encouraged them, appreciated them, and humbled myself to them often. Even if I thought I was better, I had this mindset to always put myself in their position while talking to them. Honestly as I kept doing this to fake friends, this ruined my sense of self-worth. I prioritised so much on others, I completely forgot my own value. And when those people abandoned and left me, I lost my entire identity. But reading your message, I realized that no one can simply pursue a dream and be someone alone. It's meaningless and miserable when no one is there to be proud of you and support you along the way. So I think what makes us happiest the most to live is when people love and accept you for being someone you're aspiring to be.
