Lost my only friend

She said some of the most hurtful things, and later claimed it was just anger that she didn’t mean them. Then she crossed a line by threatening me, even sending someone to intimidate me. When I asked for emotional safety especially since she wanted to maintain a friendship too and that's one of my conditions she couldn’t offer that. I know deep down that being alone is better than being afraid of someone, but I had grown so used to the routine of our connection that the silence now feels strange. Thankfully, we didn’t share any real hobbies just a trauma bond so my life isn't deeply altered. Still, the experience left a mark.

That sounds incredibly tough and scary. It's completely understandable that you're feeling the silence, even though you know you're safer now. Be gentle with yourself. You deserve peace. <3
