Pity.

Are my friends uncomfortable of the topics I might share if they cared to ask if I am okay or not, they do know I am going through a hard time but no one reached for 3weeks.am I an attention seeker or being too gloomy they just don't wanna ruin their day with my ***? Because I repost a lot of stuff I feel like it does reptesny what I feel... Share notes and stories.. Thinking that all of them are busy for 3 and more weeks doesn't fit in my mind..

Hey @diplomaticWriter7415,

Thank you for sharing this. It really sounds like you’ve been sitting with a lot of hurt and confusion, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. Feeling ignored by people you care about can make everything feel heavier, especially when you’re already going through a hard time.

What you wrote doesn’t make you an attention seeker. It makes you someone who’s struggling and hoping the people close to you might notice. Wanting your friends to check in, wanting someone to ask if you’re okay, that’s a completely human need. It doesn’t mean you’re “too gloomy” or ruining anyone’s day. It means you’re hurting and you want connection.

Sometimes people don’t reach out not because they don’t care, but because they don’t know what to say, or they assume you want space, or they’re wrapped up in their own lives. Three weeks feels long, and it makes sense that your mind is trying to fill in the silence with explanations that make you feel worse. But silence doesn’t automatically mean they’re uncomfortable with you or your feelings.

Reposting things that express how you feel is also not wrong. A lot of people use notes, quotes, or stories to communicate what they can’t say directly. It’s a way of coping, not a way of demanding attention.

If you would like to discuss any of your feelings in more depth, please do connect with a listener for a 1:1 chat 💜 Also, I noticed you mentioned that you may want to do something more, I'm not sure what you are referring to but if you need further support or are feeling suicidal please do contact a crisis hotline, you can find further information here - Crisis Resources.
