The reason why I don't post pictures much anymore.
I have trouble motivating myself to post pictures.
I've been online for over 20 years. Back in 2006 I bought my first digital camera. I was exacted to have it because I felt that being able to share pictures online would help other people get to know me easier.
Over the a few years, I shared pictures with my online "friends". The problem was those pictures didn't help me make those friends, or keep those friends. People came into my life and then they left my life. That cycle happened to me so many times, it exhausted me emotionally. I started wondering if the time I took to take pictures of things I did, and even of myself, was really worth my time and energy or not. That is why I gradually stopped doing it.
Recently I posted my first picture to one of my posts in the hobby group. It is of one of my R/C Model Airplanes. Even that picture has been around since 2018. Some of my newest pictures I took to post or send to people associated with the R/C airplane hobby. Often times I have trouble with getting something to work or mounted properly. Then I got to do a picture or video, so that whoever online can give me feedback. Other than that, I have a terrible time motivating myself to create that sort of thing.
@tryingtosurvive2024 model planes, wow! That's pretty impressive ❤ those model kits looks so fiddly and difficult, I love doing arts and crafts but nothing like model planes. You know when you take photo's it should be fun to do, but like any hobby, if your doing it just for others, it's not fun anymore. However I love seeing photos of the world through others eyes😁❤ I've never been to a beach, or a park, not even inside a store. So seeing photos is how I see the world ❤
@Tinywhisper11 (((Big Hugs))) perhaps one day someone will take you to those places.
I like taking pictures but with nobody to share them with, doing it made me feel I lost sometime off my life. The internet is stuffed full of photography so much better than what I'm able to do. These fancy smartphones make taking good photos almost too easy for people. I think they take the art out of it.
I get where your coming from. I think about the things you say to me. I will think about this a while. 😊
@tryingtosurvive2024 ❤ huggggs you back ❤ it doesn't matter if other people take better photos, because it's not the same thing. The pictures you take are unique, one of a kind, noone else has the same photo. Noone else saw through your eye, that's what makes it special and fun ❤

@Tinywhisper11 those are clouds. I liked how the sun shone off of them. Here is more from that set. I called it cloud studies.

I thought those clouds were a mountain😍 they are truly beautiful photos, and you said other people can take better photos, I completely disagree theese are stunning ❤ I think the sky is the most beautiful thing in the world, it's like paintings from God ❤my favourite thing to do in warmer months is sit outside in the garden under the willow tree, by my sons cross and watch the sunrise, it's just so perfect ❤

The camera did not capture those pictures the way I saw them. I had to do some photo editing to get the contrast and shadows correct to what I saw that day. This is another cloud study picture. From a different set of pictures. Different day.

Look at the photo you just sent, when you look at it the clouds almost move like a breeze is pushing them along on a summer's day😍
@Tinywhisper11 there are a lot of good photo editing programs. I like very simple ones that just adjust the contrast, brightness, shadows, exposure. For me that is usually enough. Also the ability to crop and make a picture smaller or bigger is nice too.

@Tinywhisper11 I think I have some sunset pictures somewhere on my drives. I found this rainbow picture that I took in 2020. You might like that. It is a double rainbow.

@Tinywhisper11 I have some other photos of it too. They were not easy to take. So I did some photo editing to try and make the rainbow stand out better.
