would love some pals
Hey all,
lately I’ve felt really…stagnant. I don’t really know how else to word it. I get waves of loneliness and then I feel fine for a while until I get lonely again. I’ve never really had a consistent, long-term friendship. Which makes me incredibly sad. My name is Diana, I’m 27, married to my best friend for almost 4 years. We live almost completely alone, in a self-built tiny house in the middle of the Utah desert. We have exactly 2 neighbors. One neighbor is less than a 2 min walk away, and the other one is quite a ways down the road. My husband works from home, and I don’t work so we are pretty much together 24/7, which honestly we really enjoy. We have a 4 year old GSD. He’s a goofy boy! Our family comes and visits every so often which is lovely. They’re actually here this weekend. I was diagnosed with Bipolar II in 2017 and Type 2 Diabetes within the last few years. I have a slew of mental and physical illnesses and I get overwhelmed easily. I suspect I have ADHD, although I’ve never been professionally diagnosed. I am a Christian. I have a million different interests and I’m an open book! Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in becoming friends, or want to know anything about me. 😊
Hi Diana! 😊
I’m 27 too! I have pretty heavy depression, adhd, and a few anxiety disorders.. Complex trauma has made me prefer to be alone quite a bit. Not including my bf because he doesn’t drain me or cause me stress. I find it very peaceful to spend a lot of time at home, in my safe bubble. In my thoughts. Even though my personality is very bubbly and sociable. So I understand the struggle of making and keeping friends. I love to be in nature too and go for long, brisk walks to combat my anxiety. Also love to paint and play video games. And watch football. Oooo and cooking feels like therapy to me. My bf and I watch Gordon Ramsey shows in between our other random shows. He’s really smart too so I love listening to him explain war and history. My bf, not Gordon Ramsey haha 😆 💚😁💙❤️
Hi Diana! What is a GSD? Your life in the desert sounds so interesting! What a grand adventure. Have you always lived in that part of the country, or was your life very different before then?
