What are two things that you think are normal, but become really strange when you do them repeatedly?

@jesusredeemedme2425 that´s pretty much me when i eat potatoes cause some of them taste like peanuts and it stresses me out cause i´m allergic despite it never hurting me. So whenever i taste one i just spit it out in panic. So sometimes i just sniff all of them one by one since i can smell it most of the time. Ocd be like that sometimes 😂

@jesusredeemedme2425 thank you. It won't kill me, but it makes my throat tighten if I'm around peanuts even from the pure smell. It is scary and I don't want to test my luck. So as much as the potatoes despite being sometimes weird never hurt me. It stresses me out too much to deal with

I have an acquaintance that can't even be in the same room with carrots for the same reason.
@jesusredeemedme2425 I totally feel them. My sincere condolences to their situation. And it is such a pain to explain to people. We once had to ask a couple behind me on a bus when we were on a guided trip and were coming home in this all night drive, to throw out the sack of their peanut food outside when they are done cause I'm allergic. They did it but looked at my mom like they are having thoughts. Like. Come on. We let them eat it. But I will not be sleeping with it behind me, too risky especially since I am already having symptoms but knew I could survive to the gas station but then enough is enough. I can totally see how it must be even worse with a non common allergen like carrots.

@jesusredeemedme2425 😆 It also came out before I was conceived, in both meanings of the word. A lot happened before we were born; that's why we have history books!...
But seriously, the reason I know about it is because of an Incredible Hulk comic where the Hulk tries to communicate with an attacking enemy--& fails, because the creature is too bestial to understand: "Hmm. Gort...klaatu barada nikto? No, I didn't think it would work."
This was from when I was a kid, back when Marvel & DC put out quality, before their writers screwed everything up & both firms lost so much market share to manga. But that's for a different thread.
