One might love books, the other prefers video games.... but as long as they both despise the outdoors - harmony prevails. One swears by vegetarianism, the other loves their steak but they have a joint disdain for vegan meat. And it has to be "hate the same things" and not " dislike". You can dislike different things - the book lover’s partner might dislike books and that’s fine. But if they hate books?... Well.. It is not going to work.
