What is your favourite scary film of all time?

[cw: spiders, sudden death]

Arachnophobia.

Because it's not haunted--supernaturally. It's my fave horror flick because, if you think about it, the plot is within the realm of possibility. It ain't that farfetched. After all, people have died from black widow & brown recluse bites.

I saw Arachnophobia when I was a kid...after watching it, I couldn't go downstairs or anywhere in our garage for at least two weeks. It scared the bejesus outta me! 😂

Here's a sample for ya: Irv & Blaire get their life subscriptions cancelled

The Hunt

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don't know where they are, or how they got there. They don't know they've been chosen - for a very specific purpose - The Hunt.

@Amanda84

"The Town That Dreaded Sundown" refers to two American horror films: the 1976 original, a semi-documentary based on the real-life Texarkana Moonlight Murders of 1946

If you can find the Original. 😁

@Amanda84 Halloween is my favorite—no character scares me like Michael Myers. He’s pure evil, completely unpredictable, and you never know when he’ll appear to kill. He’s unbeatable, and his towering physique always gives me chills. 😱rob-zombie-halloween-2007-michael-myers-2-900x506_1758098740.jpg

It's Alive - Circa mid 1970's

The Davises are expecting a baby, which turns out to be a monster with a nasty habit of killing people whenever it is scared. And it is easily scared.

My wife hates that I love blood and gore or action packed, non-stop movies.
She forces me to watch tear jerkers with her, Then she wonders why nothing gets done in the house when no one is home. I watch my movies then 😁

The Wicker Man - Circa 1973

Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) arrives on the small Scottish island of Summerisle to investigate the report of a missing child. A conservative Christian, the policeman observes the residents' frivolous sexual displays and strange pagan rituals, particularly the temptations of Willow (Britt Ekland), daughter of the island magistrate, Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee). The more Sergeant Howie learns about the islanders' strange practices, the closer he gets to tracking down the missing child.
