Because the max speed of light is 186,000 miles per second & other stars are at unimaginably vast distances from us, if you look at the night sky you are not seeing the stars as they are. You see the stars as they used to be...millions (or tens of millions or more) of years before any of us were born. One could be going nova (detonating) right now, & we wouldn't have any idea it's happening.

I think it was in In 2018.... researchers studied wombat intestines and found that their gut walls contract at different rates, which gradually molds the poop into cubes. Their findings were so unique that they won an *** Nobel Prize! ( Not the actual Nobel prize...but an award for unusual scientific discoveries)
