@SnailPurple

1) Do people at your school or workplace label others?

Yes; it seems to be the norm.

2) Have you ever called someone a negative name? If yes, do you regret it?

Yes. In most cases, I regret it because I was speaking out of anger. The few cases where I don't regret it is because the person in question was mistreating me, and more often than not, I called them a negative name in private. I will admit that it is not the best reflection of my character, however.

3) When someone calls you a name, how does it make you feel?

For the most part, it makes me feel uncomfortable. It does heavily depend on the person or the situation, however. Sometimes, my friends affectionately tease me that way, and I do the same. We know each other's boundaries for name-calling, though, so that softens the blow or else removes it completely.

4) What do you/would you do if someone called you a name?

As mentioned in the previous answer, it heavily depends on the person or the situation. Assuming it's one of my friends teasing me, I blow it off with a laugh. Assuming it's someone doing it with the intent to hurt my feelings, I tend to remain silent and just take it. However, I would like to stand up for myself more, so perhaps I'll work on doing that the next instance it happens.

Thank you for the discussion. heart

Horrible, like less than human, like a 1-dimensional character.

@SnailPurple

1) Do people at your school or workplace label others?

At my workplace, yes.

2) Have you ever called someone a negative name? If yes, do you regret it?

Never, because I know how painful it can be when others get to know about it.

3) When someone calls you a name, how does it make you feel?

It is humiliating and insulting.

4) What do you/would you do if someone called you a name?

I cannot tolerate such nonsense. So, I confronted them about it but they didn't listen. As a result, I complained about them to my boss politely without taking their names & it worked for me.

1) Do people at your school or workplace label others?

I'm not sure if other people at my workplace label one another, but I have started using labels to identify the good workers from the not so good workers. There's a lot of young teenagers at my job and I have labeled them "Kids" and the older group of people I have labled them " Adults".

2) Have you ever called someone a negative name? If yes, do you regret it?

I'm sure in the past I have called several people negative names. I don't necessarily regret it.

3) When someone calls you a name, how does it make you feel?

I usually don't get bothered when someone calls me outside my name. I just can't allow something like that to discourage me.

4) What do you/would you do if someone called you a name?

I would just keep it moving.
