Nope. Never.
What are some things that you’ve never bought and will never buy?
NFTs. I am firmly convinced they're a total waste of money...digital trash. There are better things to buy if you're looking to invest in real assets. Anyone who believes otherwise is free to try to change my mind.
...also, Goldschlager.
Any "supercar". Sure, they look cool & can go really fast. But they're absurdly expensive (in maintenance costs as well as the sticker price) & unless you can get on the Autobahn or the Bonneville salt flats, you can't drive the car in the way it was meant to be driven. Speed limit signs exist, as do state troopers...& no matter how fast your car can go, you cannot outrun their radios.
@slowdecline48 as a retired trooper I can say, I guess the guy in the c8 Corvette didn't get the message. I was cooked from the start. I didn't have a chance
@Niceguyjack That's all right. You didn't catch him, but by now another state or local cop surely has...no matter how much horsepower a man's ride has under the hood, he cannot outrun a trooper's radio.
@jesusredeemedme2425 I have never bought socks or shoes, and I never plan to😁
@Tinywhisper11 Right on! Live free, go barefoo--er, waitaminnit...sorry about that...
😉
@slowdecline48 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Tinywhisper11
im assuming you still own a pair though..? 😭
@arl3ne 😂😂😂 that was a joke answer. I'm actually a double amputee, no need for shoes and socks ❤❤
@jesusredeemedme2425
Any version of Monopoly
Any swag from our local college football team. 😅
A sports car - look, they might look cool, but there's better stuff to invest in, and I am not a car guy.
A McRib 🤮
I'm gonna agree with Goldschlager too, 😂 though it can be used to make some decent sugar cookie shots.
@Torean Until today I never even heard of cookie shots...clearly you have more of a social life than I do. 😄
Also, I agree on the McRib. Anyone who eats Mickey D's swill on the regular will probably delay his own postmortem decomposition from all the salt & preservatives he's been ingesting.
@slowdecline48
You're probably right about McDonald's food doing that. The chicken nuggets might have even more mysterious effects. 😂 Aaaand I totally grew up on those.
Yeah, those cookies shots were the first ones I learned to make. It's just Goldschlager and Bailey's. That would mess with my stomach so much nowadays.
I can’t stand Monopoly. Lol
Why do people even like football lol
What kind of car would you get?
Never tried that lol
No idea what that is, except guessing alcohol by context lol
@jesusredeemedme2425
Heh, agreed on the Monopoly and football.
What car? I like cars that drive, with good gas mileage, less problems. I'm really happy with mine, and it's a pretty average car. The worst kind of car to drive is something boxy and long like a Cadillac. I had a Chevy kind of like that, and it sucked so much to drive.
Yeah, we're talking alcohol. Goldschlager is a cinnamon flavored liqueur with gold flakes floating around in it. Cool concept, but I just associate it with very bad after-drinking times now. 🤮
I like driving taller cars because it’s easier to see. Lol
Who invented this??? Were they bored??? Cinnamon sounds nasty anyway, but gold flakes too? Why? Lol
Ooh someone had a bad hangover O.O
@jesusredeemedme2425
That makes sense. Heh, I should look into the history of the drink.
Yes 😅 luckily I've learned how to avoid hangovers.
How? I don’t drink so idk lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 me either, I tell people I'm allergic to alcohol. It makes me break out in handcuffs🙁
[cw: alky, bodily functions]
@jesusredeemedme2425 Goldschlager is an example of purely conspicuous consumption, that is, an item wherein the only reason to buy it is to show off your ability to do so. It's social signalling, basically...kinda like a male peacock's tail feathers. Gold is indigestible to the human body, so the flakes go through you & get expelled when you drop stool the day after the party.
I would show you what it looks like with the flakes floating around in the bottle, but the posting philter won't allow any images of it.
...so yeah, I will never buy a bottle of Goldschlager. Or any bottle of wine over maybe $60. On the rare occasion when I buy something special, it's usually btwn $20 & $40--& not to show off spending ability. If I cared about that then I wouldn't care how it tastes, which I do.
Shirts that have random American cities/states on them. I dont even live in the US...why is it a MISSION to find a sweatshirt that doesn't have "MINNESOTA 🤓☝️" plastered across it in massive letters
pants that are any color but blue, olive, beige, or black, is any other color actually needed? when will you be wearing red pants :( srsly
whole wheat bread hot dog buns. Everything else can be whole wheat, idc, but were crossing the line at hot dog buns 😭
an alexa, google home, etc; i dont actually see the use in them, theyre cool but i have a phone 🤷
Whole wheat pasta is an abomination XD
@jesusredeemedme2425 You wouldn't have stayed for dinner when I was in my last apartment. 😏
Why?
🤦🏼♂️
I had whole-wheat pasta!
...& sometimes boiled it up...had it dressed with olive oil, salt & pepper.
Ew. It tastes like cardboard. Lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 I'll take a guess & say you prefer stuff with plenty of sugar, salt & added flavors...
Any of the shoes on this page.
(Yes, Lola, it's safe to look at)
Sure they look nice...some of them might be comfortable to wear. But I can find a decent pair that looks like some of those for < 1/10th the price!
They’re ugly. Lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 Of course you'd say that...I can guess your preferences. 😏
Do tell. :P
@jesusredeemedme2425
Never bought a new car, always used.
@braindamag3 That makes two of us. You know about the 40% rule, obviously.
