What would be a life lesson you could easily write an entire book about?
A major company just hired you to write their next self-help bestseller. And, they offer you a contract worth seven figures. What would you write about?
Learning to rely on God while being homeless. Running out of money, especially. When God provides money and food and shelter outta nowhere… You praise God for His provision <3
@ChillTexan314 A book about quietly rejecting hustle culture -- not in a romantic, slow-living-aesthetic way, but in the real, messy way most of us can afford- a daily 5 minute pause, a deep breath, a quiet prayer before the chaos resumes, gratitude, a hobby, not going to that family dinner, blocking that group chat... choosing yourself one single act a day.
I know some people are barely holding it together — juggling three jobs, raising kids alone, fighting depression, just trying to survive. Life doesn’t always give space to slow down. But when it does — even briefly — that moment matters.
A nap isn’t laziness. Gratitude isn’t delusion. And rest isn’t something you earn — it’s something you need. Not everything has to be optimized or performed.
You can just… care. About your own life. Even in pieces.
I call it - The Subtle Art of Giving a Fvck About Your Life.

@ChillTexan314 Thank you... I learnt that the hard way. I don't want anyone else to fall into that toxic trap.
@azurePond I'll order a copy please
@Tinywhisper11 One signed copy coming right up, Tiny—on the house!
@azurePond yaaaaay thanks😁
@ChillTexan314 That would be quite the offer! After some thinking, I would say... I'd write about the psychology of certain types of trauma and different perspectives and approaches to understanding neuropsychology from a simple standpoint as well. Something I fear the most, is that most people lack the resources to properly educate themselves on a topic, be it medical information or withheld research and studies that you'd need to pay for.
So for my self-help book, I'd compose a few rough drafted ideas on how to go about explaining these concepts to those who might have disabilities associated with their memory, or auditory processing. I might also make sure to include braille as another way of those on the blindness spectrum to be able to read and decipher the information.
See, neuropsychology is the study of how the brain affects our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Often it looks into brain injuries, or mental health concerns and how that changes how one would think or act. In that sense, after a traumatic experience, being able to also guide others on how to help those individuals is something I'm also prioritizing as well. I found that the brain's neuroplasticity can be a factor taken into consideration, as such... engaging in new activities and learning new things can utilize this and improve our mental health. Having that information readily available is a challenge.
So as for the conclusion and summary, my self-help book would go right towards handling trauma and neuropsychology revolving around that same topic, with accessibility features and some coping strategies. 😄
@ChillTexan314 I'd write a book about🤔🤔 making the little things count. And it's title would be 🤔🤔 teaching maths to dwarfs😁😁
