Ciao! You may call me "Cat" if you prefer.ย ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™ย She/Her, Bi, Polyamย ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™
(This took a lot of courage just to put on here.ย ๐Ÿ˜…)

Somewhere in my early 20s.
Chronically Ill // Disabled
*Chronic Migraine, Postsurgical-Hypothyroid, Arthritis, cPTSD Survivor*
Digital Professional Artist, Avid Studier of All Things, Favored Writer, Thriving Baker, "Chaotic Cutie" as someone once described me, Ramen Enthusiast, Soup Lover, Traumatized, Grateful and Sweet.
Word of Warning: I tend to be incredibly anxious and shy when chatting, and sometimes I lack proper words to speak, so if I go quiet, encourage me, please! Unless I'm sick.ย
My humor can be dark (also due to my traumatic past leaving me desensitized) but I tend to leave it out of conversations unless they're okay with it, so no worries.

What I love: Ramen, Winter, Autumn, Crystals, Baking, Studying/Learning, Writing, Drawing, Dresses, Cute Aesthetics, Self-Growth, Chocolate.

I also love playing video games.ย
Games:ย
1. Zelda
2. Kirby
3. Mario
4. Donkey Kong (Country and N64)
5. Pokemon
And plenty of others in that regard!

Favorite Movies (too many to mention): Disney, Pixar, all sorts.
Favorite Bands & Artists: Citizen Soldier, Skillet, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, Set it Off, Taylor Swift, Three Days Grace, SkyDxddy, etc.
I also love spicy food, veggies, and eggs. Did I mention ramen?

Quotes:ย
Like colors on a palette, I embrace all my shades, knowing they make me whole.
Baking is my quiet confidence; I may be shy, but my treats speak volumes.
Just as lilies unfurl their petals, I embrace my journey, revealing strength in every layer.

The journey of surviving trauma is like a delicate dance between vulnerability and strength. I have learned to embrace my emotions, allowing myself to feel the weight of my experiences while also celebrating the resilience that lies within. It is in this balance that I find my true self, emerging from the shadows with a renewed sense of hope and determination.

...See more Hi guys! I'm dearly sorry for my silence lately. I was tagged in plenty of posts while I was absent and I felt so bad... it got really overwhelming and I eventually needed a small break to collect myself.ย  That being said, I also need to directly specify something: I'm not good at being social... yet, at least. When I say this, I actively practice being social, and more out there for the sake of my health, and that's currently still a work in progress. It's all a part of a journey I took to see myself in a better path.ย  I wanted to make this post just to reassure anyone that might've tried to speak to me in recent times or at any point when I hadn't responded, if you'd like to talk with me or have been trying to reach out to me, please do so here so I can keep better track. I wouldn't mind if anyone wanted to do a pen pal with me either, but I need the heads up before you do so I can go look for it.ย ๐Ÿ˜… Thank you so much for reading, and please have a good day/evening/night!ย ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’•

(TW) What's the worst thing someone ever said to you?

...See more Answer this however you'd like! I added the TW because I feel this thread might contain triggering or disturbing responses, so I'm putting it out there just in case!ย ๐Ÿ’— Although I can think of many things, I'll start with this: "The warmth in my heart is not there anymore. I know it's an a(censored)hole thing to say, but you deserve the truth.", Bonus: "I don't love you anymore. To me, you're not even significant or important, so why should I pretend to care for any longer? I only put up with you because I thought you would stop with this whole "abuser" nonsense. You're worse than him because at least he has an audience... and you don't."ย  That's technically two things, but it still works!

...See more I realized, I haven't actually done my own AMA before? So I suppose that's what I'm doing.ย ๐Ÿ˜… I've been told I have a LOT of stories and information, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to give this a shot! Ask me anything! (With maybe a few exceptions but that's about it!)ย ๐Ÿ˜Š

...See more How does making friends work? How do you make one? Does it come with a kit? Does it have instructions? Do I build one?ย  My brain isn't quite working right now.ย ๐Ÿ˜‚ (This is my way of venting that I don't have many friends currently, if not at least one or two, and that I'm dealing with false rumors and some people ACTUALLY attempting to take me down lately, all because of someone who assumed I did something when... I was sick that day.) (P.s: How does one continue a friendship? I get too shy as well.)

Some inspiring quotes I thought of while meditating. ๐Ÿฅฐ

...See more Hi everyone! I did some recent meditating this morning and I figured I share some of what I thought of today. I hope it resonates!ย ๐Ÿค— ๐Ÿ‚ Amidst the echoes of alienation, I may stumble in doubt, but each step I take is a testament to my strength; I am not defined by my past, but by the courage to embrace my own journey. ๐ŸŒ™ ๐ŸŒค๏ธ I rise with each new dawn, knowing that my worth is not measured by others, but by the love I nurture within myself. ๐ŸŒป ๐ŸŒด Like a tree that bends but does not break in the storm, I embrace my scars as the rings of my growth; from the depths of my trauma, I blossom with the resilience of wildflowers, nurturing my spirit with the sunlight of self-love. ๐Ÿ’– I think this particular quote came up in my mind because I was recently reading about gardening, and I have a passion for flowers. ๐ŸŒบ In the garden of life, kindness is the most fragrant blossom.ย ๐ŸŒบ

...See more Hi! I personally don't talk as much, but I am trying to break out of my shell bit by bit.ย  I recently moved out of my toxic, abusive family home into a much more loving, happy home, and it's left me with so much relief, yet, sorrow at the same time. As a disabled person, living with my immediate family left me feeling an extreme amount of emptiness, it almost felt like they were becoming careless, and any of my problems, be it medical or otherwise, were treated so poorly, I almost received little to no care or help during my time with my immediate family, so making this decision to leave them after so many years of dealing with the constant stress was more heartbreaking than I personally imagined it being.ย  I thought about it, and I had a realization. The reason why I felt heartbroken after leaving my initial home, it wasn't as if I regret leaving or that I felt like it was truly the end of a chapter that made me into who I was, but it was the idea I had to help my immediate family improve, it felt like I was losing who I thought they were into their own misery and pain. By trying to help them, I was having to understand the walls they kept building after I would do as much as try, but little by little I was picking up each hint: Sometimes you can't truly help everyone, no matter how close you are to them. Even if I did manage to help them make SOME progress into their own journey, they didn't see their behaviors as traumatic, and I lived in a place where mental health was a trivial matter, so getting my own help was also treated as such. Of course, being in a much better place helped me tremendously, but I'm still working on the pieces I have to put back together, some of which I had no idea were even broken, as sometimes, living with abusive people all your life can leave you blind, especially if they're family no less. Even if they no longer talk to me ever again, the healing process will be a huge step out of there into somewhere I'm finally understood, treated with kindness, love, and empathy. It can't erase all the problems I used to face and it most certainly can't erase the empty feeling of leaving it all behind either. When you try your hardest to help your abuse family to be better people, sometimes it just can't work, so you have no choice but to leave, sometimes the best thing you CAN do is be better yourself. It takes time, and progress will always be progress, but what I can do now is rest, take it easy, and take small steps to a much brighter future, I know I can do this. (I shared this because I wonder what other perspective anyone would have on this particular matter? I'm sorry if this is confusing to understand. TD;LR: I left my abusive home but I'm still having to realize how empty it left me, the feeling that I couldn't fix a long-term situation, even with living in a better place, so transitional stress.) Thanks for reading!ย ๐Ÿ’ž
