I have a Regal Jumping Spider as a pet. Her name is Webby and I keep her house in the kitchen window. People who come over either think it's interestingly cool or they are completely freaked out by it! Either way, I get a good laugh and am able to educate them on my not-so-common pet.

@genericbeing She's the only type of spider I actually like. Other species of spiders are a definite nope! Either pay to live here or vacate the property! LOL!
