tahereh mafi’s shatter me book series. it’s a YA dystopian romance about a 17-year-old girl who can kill with her mere touch. it’s so addicting because of the characters themselves. they’re all morally-grey, smart, funny, and develop further as the series go on. two of my favorites: kenji kishimoto and aaron warner ♥️
ali hazelwood’s novel the love hypothesis. it’s a contemporary romance in the PhD setting, specifically in STEM. it’s not even the romance pa
it’s not even the romance part that i love most about it, though i do love it too but only secondary. it’s the representation and depiction of life in the academe that means more to me. that part where the characters talked about how “academia takes a lot from you and gives back very little” hits me the most. despite how isolating and challenging it is, they still work hard for this because they have a good reason, it’s their passion. and it made me think how we’re all chasing our own dreams even though many times we don’t get anything in return, still we do it because it’s what tugs our heartstrings. ♥️

My favorite show right now is A Handmaid's Tale. Poldark and Downtown Abbey are great too. Grey's Anatomy, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Heartland, This Is Us.

I love the show This is us, it is very moving and it deals with all the issues of human life, and when I am down it makes me feel better
