@mytwistedsoul LOL I'm sorry but honestly I'm curoius myself....same with peaches really. The color peach exists - is it because of the peach or did we call peach a peach because it's the color peach?

@mytwistedsoul I can keep it going......why did we name the color green green? Why wasn't the color blue named green? Who named the colors and why? Also what makes a color a color? Also when cooking, at what point does food go from just done to overdone - there has to be the final second when it crosses the border.......And now you know why I often don't sleep well!!!!

@mytwistedsoul I can now be the reason you don't sleep at night as well! Like who decided to squish a piece of fruit and drink the juice? Who thought to pick up a piece of fungues and go "yummy!" and eat it -- along with how long did it take us to realize which are poisonous? Who the hell decided to melt cheese and make queso? I mean awesome food, but who didn't just eat the damn piece of cheese. Same with chocolate! Or mash up corn for tortillas? They couldn't have known it would work just fine and therefore were risking perfectly good food in a society that likely didn't have a lot of extra.

@Dawn04 LOl well ok - let me add to that - who decided to eat the first raw oyster? I mean seriously - who looked at that nasty ball of snot and said mmm - yum! And the first person to milk a cow - I mean seriously - what was that person thinking? Plus they passed a bill or something in California *so I heard* that you won't be fined for picking up roadkill. It was like a $6000.00 fine! Really? Is this really a problem? I mean who drives down the road and see's a dead squirrel and says "well ya know what I am feeling alittle peckish. I could use a snack."
@mytwistedsoul Same with cashews - the entire plant is poisonous except this tiny little bit. Who thought to only eat the tiny little bit? Or ink....who decided to crush up some berries, figure out how to attach a needle to a stick, and start writing with ink. Don't even get me started on how they invented pencils. Even shaving to some extent....who picked up a knife and was like "ugh too much body hair - let's start removing some" (granted I do shave some and I like clean faced guys). And as much as I love popcorn, how in the world did we ever figure out to dry out corn and then heat it until it pops? Plus wool - who was like "I'm gonna shave that sheep and make clothing!" and create wool.

@Dawn04 Lmao! Or silk - who decided that some tiny thread coming from a bugs butt would make good clothing as well. Or to eat octopus - raw! Oh look it's still moving - bite it! Lol - the food that bites back. Or that fugu fish - ok you can eat this tiny tiny bit - anything else and you die! Or even eggs - and please don't tell me about it not being baby chickens and saying it's something else - because I finally started being able to eat them again Lol!
@mytwistedsoul Oh you mean how eggs are essentially aborted chickens? And honey is more or less bee vomit? Or this will get a little risqué, but original condoms were intestines of made of sheep intestines - I can't imagine what in the hell were going through those people's heads. Seems like it would be easier to stop having sex! Or even buttermilk - let's take milk and essentially let it spoil somewhat and then drink it? Why??? Let's even go to bread - let's whack down what they had to see as weeds, grind them up, mix them with some other perfectly good foods, and bake....hell even the creation of baking.....?
Even if we want to get off foods, just thinking about weird and fickle humans are. We went from the origins of going to different people (so essentially stores) for different things, then we created the general store, then it went to going to different stores for different things, then back to everything combined in one store (like supercenters), and even lately I'm seeing it start returning to specialty shops. And don't even get me started on the open-concept vs room thing - we went from shelter being one big room, to wanting separate rooms rooms, to open rooms, again to separate rooms, and again to open-concept....though I'm hearing it's going back to separate rooms again. Seriously what the hell is wrong with us?

@mytwistedsoul True on the almonds.....though then again (this will offend someone so look away right now if you are easily offended) I don't get those who choose not to eat any animal products, but then spend so much time looking for replacements.......just drink the damn milk or eat the damn egg! Unless of course you cannot medically.....anyone there gets a pass!
@Dawn04 I agree - I mean come on they're growing meat in labs now - does that seem natural? Schmeat - lol. I'm sorry forgive me for saying this but - all this stuff is here for a reason. There are no roaming herds of wild dairy cows or even chickens - there a reason foxes pick them off so easy.
@mytwistedsoul That reminds me of seeing packages of free-range chickens.....my grandfather had a farm, I have been on other farms, I know plenty of people who have chickens....there's no such thing as free-range chickens!

LOL actually, you posted very interesting questions, that made me go to Google!!! I had fun trying to find the answers... that of the colours is the only one I could find. As for the one on the overcooked food... no clue!!
