In a comment thread about a current foreign conflict, I disrupted the usual sequence of sloppy argument, hot takes, 🐂💩 & straight-up lies by posting a few facts & a nugget of cold hard truth.
ah, we love to see it!

making a time that could have created more drama by us bring attention to what another said to pick a fight with us. by us saying nothing at all about the comment made that was about us in a negative way. so by doing that we did a good deed for others who were staff on a outing with club. we thought before we spoke then did not speak to created no drama.
after others were dropped off we did speak to staff about what was said. the staff person thanked us for not allowing the other to get what they wanted as in a verbal fight with us.
some may not see this as a good deed but to not speak at times in it self is a good deed.

Ignorance is bliss.

agree sometimes people do not want to hear both sides. due to if they did they have to see things from two different sides and then after that form a option of what really happened.
Yesterday, upon arriving at the storage rental place I discovered a stowaway: a kermit* had hopped into the back of my truck. Apparently it had stuck itself to my tool bag & had been there the whole time...
So what was my good deed? Not k\lling it. I slowly moved toward it, then the kermit jumped off my tool bag & landed in the strip of grass bordering the temp-controlled section where my unit is....I left it there & went inside to unlock my unit & go about my business.
I have nothing against amphibians; in fact I try to spare them whenever I encounter one. Am not a bleeding-heart type but I'm friendly towards any animal that eats insects. They're nice to have around. I try to never k\ll a dragonfly or spider for the same reason.
*My term for any tiny smooth-skinned green frog...the kind that usually live in trees near a body of water. They all look like Kermit to me.
