Using needlessly long, polysyllabic words, & using more words than necessary to make a point or explain something. In most cases simple speech is better, & truly intelligent people know it.

@slowdecline48 Totally agree. Real intelligence shows in how simply someone can explain something complicated—especially to someone who’s completely new to it.
@trueconfidant123 I have thought about this.... and here’s one: pretending to be above pop culture. You know the type — ‘You read romance? I read Nietzsche' or ‘you watched Dune? I read Dune.’ As if liking popular things makes you shallow. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. Hating what others love doesn’t make you smart — it just makes you smug. Truly intelligent people learn from everyone and everything. And above all... they are humble enough to know they don’t need to look down on others to feel smart.

Wow, Azure. You didn't tell me you were a mind reader. Well, I actually have bumped into those people both in real and virtual life. They tell those things to intimidate you and I'm glad I didn't fall prey. I simply chose to exit silently. I mean everyone has the leeway to read or listen or do whatever they want to. You don't have to do something just because it appears *smarter*!

@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas Yes... that’s true. But sometime...Intelligent people may talk a lot but even when they do, they speak to make a point or contribute something. They dont talk just for the sake of talking. Fake intelligent people, on the other hand, talk to fill a void...and they end up filling it with nothing but meaningless words, lol.
