So once my friends and I were on vacation—somewhere I won’t name because I don’t want to give away my location. Let’s just say it was a natural disaster prone area … maybe an earthquake, avalanche or landslide or alien landings *mysterious noises *
We were outside chatting when we heard this deep rumble—and we knew exactly what it was. So let’s just say we yelled “Earthquake!” I instinctively shoved everyone to run.
But instead of running away, I ran backwards—into the building. Yeah, I know ( I always run towards danger - lack of survival instincts )
My boyfriend at the time had taken a few steps to escape but then saw me charging into the building like a maniac. He was like "Not this again" so he turned around and ran in after me.
There were several floors, people staying inside—we climbed the stairs, banging on doors, yelling,. We got them all out. Every single person. Even the dogs.
That building ended up destroyed though.
And then came the aftermath. My father banned me from ever traveling to that region ever again—any place remotely known for natural disasters was off the list. I got grounded and yes he literally took away my passport.
It’s either that—or the time I interned during the pandemic. I also did a lot of volunteer work during that time. And of course, I got COVID. First wave. Back when everyone was dying and nobody knew what it was. Everyone thought I was dying (Because family was not allowed to see me, somehow my dad did visited me) But honestly? It was one of the best times of my life. I was quarantined, isolated… and completely immersed in books.

It sounds like everyone's seriously concerned about your decision making skills because they sure sound questionable, I'm sorry that happened. 😭❤️

I'm gonna have to say it was gathering all my courage and finally speaking to the one friend at work that I walked away from 4 months ago.
She had it in her mind that I never wanted to talk to her again and I had the same thought of her. There were some missed cues that made us think that. 😊
Now since that day, the weight has lifted off my shoulders and the big hole in my 💔 ❤️🩹 started to heal almost instantly. I know our friendship will never be like it was but at least we are talking again.
