Feeling overwhelmed with life, desiring not to feel this way anymore. Suicide crosses my mind often, not for nothing, but I am so exhausted with trying, efforts seem fruitless.

@allnaturalNight50 thank you, is there a way to message you privately, rather than a thread on this forum?

Hi

my son is ill. He has a rare autoimmune illness CIDP. He does not respond to treatment. His nerves are dying. I feel guilty. I took him for flu shots.

I have counselling and have just been diagnosed with ptsd which I'm having trouble with. I'm embarrassed and haven't been able to tell anyone. I lost a little baby girl. I got sick and my baby got sick in my womb. I have trouble remembering details. I block. I struggle saying her name. Its a huge trigger.

I also have a lot of grief from when i was little. My counsellor says I have not been taught to deal with things because its been one thing after another. I'm always alert and vigilant.

@warmheartedTurtle6662

ive been diagnosed with ptsd too and it helps to know that I am suffering with something that's real. It helps because I don't feel alone. I can understand how trying and hurtful your struggles can be. I hear you and I'm sorry those things have happened to you. Thank you for sharing with me. I'm not the strongest person to offer support right now, but I would like to encourage you to continue counseling and to remain hopeful. You are strong, your strength is in your story. You have energy and you have power.

@BluSkies1234

Thank you for saying that blue skies. I feel so alone in the middle of groups of family and friends. I just had my first ACT therapy session and needed to sleep after. I just don't feel like me anymore. I'm tired and scared and angry and numb. I don't know if that's possible

Hey Turtle, I’m here for you and I’m listening. Your story is heartbreaking, and I can understand why you’d feel overwhelmed and guilty. First, please know that you doing the best you can as a parent, and that’s something to be proud of. It takes courage to acknowledge your struggles and seek help, especially when it comes to your son’s health and your own PTSD diagnosis. Would you like to talk more about what you’re going through and how I can support you?
