Homesick and worried about school
I moved a few states away from my family this past July to be with my fiance. I haven't been able to visit yet, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to. I'm very homesick. I mostly stay at home, because I can't drive. I'm going to be restarting on-line university classes again, and I'm a little stressed about that too.
Mostly I'm missing my family and feeling lonely.
@IndigoGlitter Im really sorry to hear that things are feeling difficult for you since moving in July to be with your partner. You say that you are about to restart your online study and are worried about this. What concerns you and how did it feel when you did studying previously, did you feel the same kind of concerns and feelings and if so, how did you manage these then? it can be very difficult when you move away, not only do you have to adjust to the loss of what is familiar, safe and comforting, including missing family but you also then have to adapt to new surroundings, new structures to your day, making new friends, etc and this can take time to acclimatise to and feel comfortable with. Have you been able to talk with anyone about how you feel, your partner perhaps?
here are a couple links that you may find useful which explores the issue of homesickness and suggests ways to try and cope with this. I hope its of some use.
