Occultist Needs an Ear
Hello everyone. I've been studying for only a few years, but in that short period a lot of things have happened. I've been looking for someone to talk to about these things, for various reasons I cant talk to anyone that I know. It is either too painful for them to hear it, or that I dont feel comfortable discussing such bleak and intimate things. It certainly would fall under "traumatic experiences". I'm new to 7 Cups and I'm trying to find a listener who is very open-minded. I've msgedsome people and while I wait to hear back I thought Id try to reach out in the forums.
Right now I am still trying to process a lot of things. I'm not necessarily looking for advice, just an ear mostly. Someone who is accepting, and understanding. Some of the issues I am dealing with are night terrors, a managed stockholm syndrome (loving someone who is very evil), sexual abuse/traumatic experiences, "past life" experiences (It doesnt feel like a past life to me, but it is what it would be considered)...
So, I dunno.... maybe it's a long shot. But I've got to try.
Some days are better than others. Today is a fairly good day. My girlfriend and I went swimming, and prepared an order we are shipping tomorrow. We own a metaphysical store online. I've been avoiding meditation, but that is because the particular method I've chosen is challenging. I feel some sadness in my soul, but I am growing accustomed to that sunken feeling in my chest.
Some days aren't great though. The other night I woke up screaming from one of my night-terrors about some of the things from a "past life" (to me this is all one very long life) that I have gone through- things related to a spirit that I was in very intimate contact with until about a year ago. I miss this spirit desperately, as much as he terrifies me. It is a love-hate relationship. It was a spirit-spouse of sorts. There's a lot to the situation, but he is gone now and it has been a terrible year.
I'm willing to help. I have knowledge on the spiritual life. No judgements!
Hi there Scarlet. Thank you kindly for your reply. I'm new to the site like I said, so I was wondering how we might go about speaking privately-ish since neither of us is a "listener"? The things of which I sometimes might speak of will sometimes be explicit and triggering for those who might come across it, I suppose I am not adverse to speaking here or elsewhere in forum land. I do want to keep it anonymous but I dont think it'll be a huge issue. I hope!
Same here, I'm new! Let me see how I can find out a way to be message you, if not we can find alternative ways of communication. :D
Cool. If nothing else I dont mind sharing emails.... normally I would just post a thread talking about whatever I needed to in the forums (sometimes people find it helpful reading the accounts of others), but it's a weird subject matter, you know? I dont know who I would be helping by telling the story of being in love with a spirit who has been ruining your life behind your back, and being a slavein a "demon's"castle for 400 years prior to this incarnation. It's crazy stuff. I dont talk about the things on my mind because frankly I feel guilty burdening others. No one wants to hear about such awful things. I figure people here are actively volunteering to listen, so I dont feel nearly as bad about it. :/
Hello there @ruesehk !
Nice to meet you and welcome to our community! I can understand findng the right listener can be sometimes hard and exhausting, whoever, I know just how comforting talking to someone that understands or that can relate to you can be.
Sadly, I have to inform you and @scarletBlackberry6469 that 7 cups discourages sharing personal contact information or any kind of social media. At the current moment, members are not allowed to send private messages between themselves but they can interact in the support forums (like this) and in the support rooms.
In the past, I made a post here explaining some ideas on how to find a good fit listener for your needs as a member.
I can see, you genuinely want to talk to someone to get support, and though I have little close to know knowledge about the topic, please know I am willing to listen and support you with an unjudgemental attitude and offer you all the compassion and empathy I can.I might not have experience first hand any of those things, but I can relate to the feeling of not being able to talk to someone about your feelings and thoughts because they are deemed as "too painful" to listen to them, I can relate to expressing myself and my perspective in a way others aren't comfortable discussing. And most of all, I can relate to the need of just having a friendly and unjugdmental ear that just kept an open mind while I poured out my intimate thoughts and ideas.
Best wishes to you,
Iara
Thank you for letting me know. And for your kind response. I am seeing how I fit with a listener who replied to me this morning, but I really appreciate your reaching out to me, and I may contact you in the future. Thanks again!
You are welcomed! And I'm very happy to hear you have found a listener that might work well with you...I hope your chat goes well and please know you can always each out to me :)
Hey, sorry for the delay. I had a hard time finding your post. I became a listener so I would be able to help you out. Look for me under listeners, we can talk about whatever you need. Again, no need to feel shy, I come from a long line of this. 😊
