Hi, im new here. It took me so long to get on this site and its taking me even longer to find a listener. I just feel like no one will want to handle me. Im a very close-minded person I guess. I am extremely negative compared to a lot of people. I think poorly of everything. Im 19. Ive been having a really hard time getting things out lately. Never know where to start, then it just starts hurting horribly from bottling it all up. I dont believe in therapy or most medicine or a lot of illnesses. I dont pity people. I cant stand being weak or vulnerable. And i dont doubt that I will probably quit this site before i get a chance to try it. I deny having problems even though I know I do, and i cant figure out how to fix them. If you're a listener who is as open as you say you are, you will be open to me too, even if my opinions arent the same.. or Im stubborn or wont listen to advice. I dont need someone to tell me things will be better or its okay to feel the way I do. I just want to be heard, because my insides are screaming, and maybe get some answers on how to cope. Im scared to get the wrong listener and accidentally insult them. Im very sorry for being so picky. Thank you to anyone who reads this.
Exactly how I am feeling. It's taking forever to find a active listener. It has good reviews on this app. But idk why when it takes forever to find someone.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues finding a proper listener. I will say that this site is as much defined by what it isn't as what it is. We don't give advice and if it's a good listener, you should not be getting judged, pushed, or intimidated. The love, compassion, and care that our best listeners attempt to show can come across as pity sometimes and for that I will apologize as I am as guilty as anyone. But we try. And you can't beat the price, really.
I would invite you to use the "browse listener's feature and try to find a listener to your liking. A high rating is a good thing to look for but an even better thing to look for is someone who's narrative calls to you, someone you think you could be friends with in the real world.
