Hello guys! ...

Recently I noticed that I'm too scare to compliment something or someone, I feel like what if they take it in wrong way , or if they just ignore my message

But I think i should compliment without thinking much , cause I'll be happy if they like it and if they ignore that's not matter to me cause I'm just being myself.

I know it's a little thing but these Little things really matter for me .

And will love to hear your perspective, what's your opinion??

the thing about compliments is there's no consequence to giving them and we really need more praise and positivity in our world.

I know that complimenting people or things can be tricky. I guess I am a bit superstitious, or, to put it more in psychological terms, it's some kind of "if... then..." magical thinking.

I've noticed that more often than not when I complimented somebody, on the very next day he or she did something really astonishing or disappointing. Well, it happens... Maybe people are feeling not good with the pressure of calling them perfect, scared to be imprisoned by our expectations or imaginations of them?...

Maybe our families were too harsh, ALWAYS telling us when we did a wrong thing, and almost NEVER complimenting our efforts "to not spoil a child"?

And maybe we should think about people in school terms: that "great" is not only 101%, but anything that is over 85%?

Actually I have the impression it's quite common for some sensitive people with some bad experience, that when they hear compliments they often start to hide or run away.

@thoughtfulNectarine910 great question thankyou for sharing!

I think giving compliments can be difficult even though it is such a nice thing to do sometimes it can be scary or we just simply hokd ourselves back from doing so. My advice would be to ease into it, do not feel the need to give someone a compliment all the time but try to push yourself in doing so.
