AuADHD/peri exhaustion
Forties are rough. I don’t know if my exhaustion is from perimenopause, ADHD, raising an adult child with special needs, or having no help. My jaw’s default is to stay clenched, my shoulders are to my ears, and I flinch when my child paws at me because I’m so overstimulated and touched out. I have had misophonia my entire life, so her stimming sends me over the edge. I seem to be the only one bothered by it. My husband has been checked out for 20+ years although he thinks everything is fine because his needs are met, but I’ve never felt more alone than I have since I’ve been married. I appear to have a cushy life from the outside, but I’m constantly on the verge of tears, crumbling from the inside out. Can anyone relate?

You are doing a great job as a mother even if you don't think it 💛
You matter too
Your needs also deserved to be met.
I appreciate you being honest and vulnerable here and it's not easy when you are constantly in demand and you feel like you don't have five minutes to yourself.
I hear you 💛
