Entering the New Year with a Gentle Heart 🤍
Hello, everyone, 💛✨ I hope you are all doing okay today enjoying the last moments of 2025. 🤍
As the new year begins, I’ve been thinking a lot about all the hearts that come together at Cups. Many of us are here because we’ve been hurt, misunderstood, or left feeling tired and overwhelmed. With everything people are carrying, I felt like writing this as a gentle reminder for myself and for anyone who might need it today.
Recently, I watched a discussion where someone asked a very honest question: “How do we keep our heart pure when we keep getting hurt, especially by people close to us?” That question really stayed with me, because I know many of us struggle with this. It's a part of life and we can't even deny it.
One thing that stood out to me from the discussion was that the first step is acknowledging how we feel. Being hurt again and again is exhausting. Saying “this hurt me” doesn’t make us weak, it simply means we are being real with ourselves. 🤍
The second thing was about taking care of our inner world. This can look like praying or quietly asking for strength, peace, and protection for our hearts. Asking that we don’t turn bitter or start thinking badly about others, even when we are hurting, can help us stay grounded and calm. 🕊
Another important point was about protecting ourselves. Sometimes we need to step back from situations or people that keep causing pain. This doesn’t mean we stop caring. It means we are choosing to care for our own heart too. Intention also matters. Moving forward with the intention to heal, not to hurt back, helps us grow even when things are difficult. 🌸
And lastly, continuing to choose kindness and forgiveness, when we are ready, can bring a lot of peace. Forgiveness is not saying that the pain was okay. It is choosing not to let the pain control us. Small acts of kindness, even toward ourselves, help keep the heart soft. 🌱
I wanted to share this as we step into a new year. Not as pressure to be perfect, but as encouragement to keep going, to protect our hearts, and to not give up on ourselves. 💖
I’d love to hear from you if you feel comfortable sharing 🤍

What helps me protect my heart is just being me.
Not letting anyone else dictate my worth.
Enjoying the moment.
Having fun.
Not taking myself too seriously 💚 😊

@Amanda84 Hi Amanda! 😃 Thanks for dropping in and engage in the discussion. 💖 I really loved your answers! Being yourself, not letting other describe our worth, and having fun and enjoying ourselves are wonderful gentle ways to care for our heart! 💛 Thank you so much for sharing your views and happy new year to you too! 💖🌟
@KindleMissie
I think a good way to start protecting your heart is to define where your heart ends and another begins. 💖
In other words, defining where your boundaries are.
Being able to discern ourselves from the behaviors, wants, actions and opinions of others can be a way to reclaim power over our own heart.
I also believe finding community with like-minded people (like 7 cups!) is a way to protect the heart. 🫂
@EnchantingVoice6361 Hi Enchant! Thank you so much for sharing this 💖 I really love how you said, “where your heart ends and another begins.” That line is such a beautiful reminder for our souls to set healthy boundaries and protect our hearts. And yes, community truly matters. Having safe, like-minded spaces like 7 Cups where we can be ourselves, feel understood, and not feel alone makes such a big difference ✨ Happy New Year! 💖
