Gratitude
I started to exercise gratitude in my daily life and it DOES make a change. It's not magic ofc(tho that would be great) but it does shift my mind to better things. Like i am sitting right now and realizing that i wasn't even noticing all the great things i have !! I am glad i started this parctice. I of course have still a lot of healing to do. But it is already a positive step!
I'll be honest here. I used to be annoyed when someone was suggesting to me to try gratitude. I thought it was dumb for some reason. Now i am so grateful that i give it a try💖 it's literally making my mood better. It's not working all the time but with training it will get better.
I really, really recommend this practice! But if it doesn't work for you it's ok! The most important is that you find a way thaf works for you💖
If you have any experiences with gratitude or things you are grateful feel free to share!!
@schrodingerscattt I thought gratitude was dumb too. Something that worked for other people with fewer problems than me. I hate comparative gratitude (“I was sad I had no shoes till I saw someone with no feet”) it doesn’t do a thing for me. But just taking a moment to acknowledge a small thing that is good, like - I ate today, I can breath, I have clean water, I have a few emotional tools to carry me through tough emotions like the ones I’ve felt today - these can turn off the five-alarm-fire in my head or just make an already pleasant day a little more pleasant. Sometimes without gratitude I can be totally unaware that it’s a nice day.
@schrodingerscattt Thank you for sharing your personal experience and encouraging others to find their way to practice gratitude! 🤗
It's always great to hear about how this practice has helped others, and I hope it continues to impact your life positively. And as you mentioned, it does require practice and consistency to see the full benefits, and I experienced this myself after weeks of practicing.
Please keep up the good work!
