Healing...
Healing Isn’t Linear and That’s Okay
Life can be overwhelming. Some days, it feels like the weight of your thoughts, worries, and past hurts is too much to carry. Mental health isn’t about being “strong” all the time, it’s about acknowledging your struggles and learning how to care for yourself, even when it feels impossible.
If you grew up in an environment where you weren’t encouraged, praised, or emotionally supported, it’s normal to struggle with self-esteem, self-worth, or even self-love. You might hear a voice in your head saying: “I’m not good enough” or “I don’t deserve happiness.” But that voice is not the truth. It’s just the echo of experiences you didn’t choose.
Here’s how to start reclaiming your worth:
1. Speak kindly to yourself. Treat yourself the way you would treat a friend who’s hurting.
2. Set boundaries. Protect your energy from people or situations that drain you.
3. Celebrate small wins. Getting out of bed on a rough day, finishing a task, or even asking for help is a victory.
4. Reach out for support. Talking to a friend, mentor, or professional isn’t weakness , it’s strength.
5. Practice gratitude and reflection. Write down three things you did well today or moments that made you smile, no matter how tiny.
Healing is messy. You might take two steps forward and one step back and that’s normal. Be patient with yourself. Your mental health journey isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress, one moment at a time.
You deserve love. You deserve patience. You deserve peace. And the most important person who needs to remind you of that every day… is you.
