It's hard to help my son deal with his dad sometimes. I'm getting tired of trying to defend my husband when he does stupid things. He closed last night so my son and I were left with small TV dinners or whatever we could find in the house. Then I got a message from my son after my husband got home that he had gotten himself Taco Bell. I feel like I'm just hitting a wall anymore when it comes to dealing with them.

@skyraven02

sounds like you're going through a difficult time. do you feel it's worth it to stay with your husband if you're not able to confront him on these issues?

@skyraven02

that sounds rough

stupid people don’t get much patience from me. it would be hard to find the way to be positive about that especially to a loving kid.

Have you found anything that helps or a phrase you keep in handy ?

I just have started to avoid it. My son mostly stay in his room if his dad’s home and if he’s not home, he’ll come upstairs for a while and then go back to his room.

i feel like that happens a lot here too. I got some games that were recommended for being engaging and tried ways to get them out of their rooms so much but it is so much easier and feels better to just avoid the things and people that are clearly not good

@popsiclify

yeah, my son spends most of his times in his bedroom playing video games with friends.
