I dont know how will I recover

I have been struggling to find jobs and trying to support my partner. I feel helpless and that we are compromising on everything as we dont have sufficient income. This makes me feel low and depressed. To top it up I fell for a online job scam and lost around 3k, with the scammer abusing me. I went off my socials. I have not told my partner or anyone other than reporting it to Bank. I cannot tell him or anyone, I just cant handle how this will hurt him and how I become a topic of gossip everywhere.

This is killing me more, I dont know when will this get better. This has triggered things which I have never experienced before. I am always in the verge of crying, no interest in anything, dont like talking, my chest is heavy, I feel breathless at times. How do I make up for the money I lost and more important, will I ever recover this trauma.

Thank you

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you're carrying a lot with job struggles, a scam, and keeping it all a secret. It's understandable to feel helpless and down.

Reporting the scam to the bank was a good move. It's okay to feel upset about the money.

Keeping things bottled up can make things harder. When you feel ready, sharing with someone you trust could lighten the load.

The sadness, loss of interest, and chest heaviness are signs of stress. Healing takes time.

You will get through this, one day at a time. If it gets too much, reach out to a professional or a listener here. You don't have to carry this alone.

@enthusiasticBlackberry1044 I can only imagine how heavy this all must feel. Trying to support your partner, facing financial stress and then being scammed like that...it’s so much to hold, especially in silence. Everything you’re feeling...the sadness, the guilt, the tight chest, the urge to withdraw....it all makes sense.

Please know that what happened to you doesn’t define your worth and you don’t have to go through it alone💙
