I don’t know what to do
I never thought i’d live to see my 13th birthday, that is why I never planned for my future, but tomorrow I turn 17 and I don't even know what course to take for college. Idk why but i don’t feel like celebrating my birthday because I feel like I died at 13, like rn i’m just a shell. Im living someone else’s life. like i’m just borrowing someone’s body, it’s not my own. I often feel guilty because my parents give me everything I need and want, but somehow I still feel nothing. It hurts to think that they do their best but still they ended up with a daughter like me.
Omh my god I feel the exact same way, I am also turning 17 too and I feel.. nothing, I feel empty, my parents think so highly of me but I feel like a failure, I don't get the grades they expect like I promised them although I try hard. Basicallu everything went downhill at 13.
I suggest talking to professionals about college courses who will help you choose a course!
Do you want to talk about it? Because I relate alot to your situation.
I’d love to! from what i’ve read abt our situation seems similar. my parents never pressured me abt my grades or anything thats why I started to push myself. tho ik that sometimes i push myself too hard, but even with my best i still end up in the middle of our class. the thing is I go to the best hs in our region, I have to compete w/ people who are sheldon cooper smart, sometimes i wish i just went to a regular school where a 90% grade is not the passing grade🥹
I'm so sorry if it was the school or classmates that made you feel insecure.. remember to not pressures yourself, do the best you can and that's it, even if you didn't get your desired grade at least you still tried your best instead of not studying at all like some people, don't push yourself too hard, take your time to raise your grades slowly so you don't get exhausted.
Hello,
jahanvi this side , wanted to check up on you and know if maybe you would want to chat ? And we could come up with some way to deal with the emotions that you are feeling?
@proactiveMango7427
You remind me of myself at your age, but if there's anything this 24 year old person can tell you, is that your life has just started and you've got so many possibilities ahead of you. It's okay to feel the way you do, and I felt the same back then too. But you should know that grades, what kind of college/university/even job you'll do, it won't matter in ten years. Your body is yours, as much as your life. Maybe you just need to understand yourself more. At your age you're still a blank canvas and even when you'll be 24, you'd still be able to change what you are. I did, in more ways than one. I'm no therapist and I just created an account to help with my own issues, but trust me. You're alive. You're here. This is your life. And you deserve to enjoy it. Your emotions are still inside you, you just need to understand why they chose to hide away from anyone. Take care.
@proactiveMango7427 I think you are facing the problems of teenage and face the problem of overthinking. It's normal everyone face these problems because life is full of sorrow and sadness and you have to choose either you become sad Or face them with smile on your face. By the saying living not your own life, I think you want to say that you are not doing the thing in which you are interested in and doing the things which society make you to do. I think you should the work in which you do it with happiness and do not let you leave it until it get finished. For example I like to talk about movies, series and anime so i started q YouTube channel in which I upload content regarding movies and make me feel that i am utilizing my time in a good manner when I see views and likes.
So in the end I say good luck to you fir your future journey and lead the life on your own wish
